Alexandra is Scientific Researcher at the Research Institute for Quality of Life of the Romanian Academy, specialized in sociology and decision-making. Throughout her career she received prestigious scholarships and research stays in Poland, at the University of Zielona Gora, in Germany, at Bremen International School of Social Sciences and Jacobs University and in Great Britain, at the University of Warwick. She holds a PhD in sociology from the University of Bucharest, Romania. Her research interests are in the field of individual and small group decision-making, with applications in health care, work-life balance or volunteering.
Max holds MA degrees from Wroclaw University and the Cambridge Centre for Jewish-Christian Relations as well as a PhD in social sciences from Open University (UK). He worked as a project manager, researcher, expert and analyst in the fields of civil society, education and youth policy for the British Council, European Commission and Council of Europe. He is currently a visiting fellow at the LSE European Institute, researching social policy and international development in South-East Europe. His other research interests include intercultural competence, social inclusion, human rights education, migration, civil society development and EU enlargement policy.
